Testimonials

As a first-time mum, I was struggling with breastfeeding and feeling immense pressure when my milk hadn’t come in. The hospital staff were pushing me to start formula, but Mary, my lactation consultant, was an incredible support. She reassured me that colostrum was enough for my newborn, which gave me the confidence to carry on. Mary was so kind and understanding, especially when I was feeling emotional and hormonal. When the hospital nurses were being rude and harsh, Mary stayed on the phone with me late into the night, at no cost, offering me reassurance and comfort. Later, Trisha visited me at home to help with positioning and provided even more support. The care and guidance from these wonderful women were invaluable, both practically and emotionally. I truly couldn’t have navigated those early days without them.

“The Breastfeeding Cafe was an absolute lifesaver for me during my breastfeeding journey. I was struggling with feeding my son and couldn’t figure out why it was so challenging. The warm and friendly team at the sessions not only provided me with incredible support but also suggested that my son might have tongue tie, which turned out to be true after further investigation. I managed to start breastfeeding my son at 10 weeks thanks to their advice. It made such a difference, and I’m so grateful for their expertise and encouragement. The welcoming atmosphere made me feel completely at ease, and I couldn’t recommend them enough to any new parent in need of breastfeeding support!”

I just wanted to say thanks so much for all you did to help with feeding! We are flying with it now- it’s very easy and no pain at all now, so I’m thrilled! He’s 14 weeks now but I’d say from around 7-8 weeks we were nailing it and feeling fully able to breastfeed without soreness or difficulty!
I think if you hadn’t given me your tips and advice I would have very much been close to stopping breastfeeding all together!
